Autumn colours are not usually thought of as bright hues such as pink or red, however for me the season means colour. London weather being so miserable in the winter means bright clothing keeps me sane and in a good mood. The fusion of pink and red makes such a strong impact when done subtly. Here I have paired this pink coat with red pieces underneath to create a fun colour blocked ensemble. By sticking to one pink piece ensures my outfit is not over the top and means anyone can create the look too. Can't wait to wear this pink coat throughout the season.
I've always loved the patriotic combination of red white and navy...so clean and classic. However today I'm showing you how to style the same look 2 ways, casual and for the office. Starting with these cropped striped trousers which are the most comfy pair of pants I have tried. They are super soft cotton which literally move with you. I love styling trousers like these with a basic stripe shirt as you can never go wrong with a fitted shirt. This boyfriend style works well tucked in or worn out over a pair of jeans. By just swapping my jacket from a red bomber which is this season's must have, to this navy cape literally creates two unique looks which is super easy to recreate. It's amazing how a change of colour and style of jacket can enhance your outfit. And of course my patriotic look wouldn't be complete without a pair of red shoes!

This is my second look showing you how I wear my jeans to work for the Dorothy Perkins denim campaign. Black jeans are the perfect alternative for casual fridays in the office, and easy enough to get away with when wearing denim to work. Styling my denim with a longline white blouse and colour block coat keeps my look formal and chic. I have recently become addicted to longline shirts as they are so easy to style but also looks super smart no matter how you style it. Opt for a printed shirt like this for the weekends.
I finally found the perfect red coat. I have been after a red coat for ages and I seem to have every other colour but red?! This beauty is made from wool and so has been my life saver over the last few weeks with the London weather taking a turn. Of course my outfit wouldn't be complete without a print in tow and the addition of print came in the form of these spotted flats. If flats aren't your thing then they also are available in these heels too.
Today's post I'm styling all black with a touch of velvet. This velvet playsuit from Topshop was the perfect piece for the festive season just gone. However when purchasing items for a particular event we sometimes never get to wear them again. By adding a camel coat, OTK boots and opaque tights enables me to wear my playsuit in the new year for drinks with friends. Toning down party wear for everyday styling is great way to ensure you get to wear all items in your closet.
I was recently sent this vintage suede skirt by Brag Vintage who sell yes you guessed it...vintage clothes and accessories. Normally I find it difficult when shopping in vintage stores as I like order when shopping and tend to struggle browsing through rails of stock jumbled together. However when I came across Brag Vintage online it was a dream come true, as I could shop online with everything organised and find one off vintage gems that I may have missed in store. From long 1930s dresses to short 1960s shifts to denim dungarees.
With the 70's influence going nowhere I chose this button down skirt which has the most softest suede texture. Styling with this blue denim pussy bow blouse and mirrored sunnies keeps the focus on my new suede skirt.
There's just something about a twinset combo that I find the most endearing. Maybe it's the elegance and vintage vibe it provides. When I spotted this Juicy Couture denim tweed blazer and bag set I instantly fell in love. It's just so cute and chic, plus the denim keeps it looking young and trendy... and less grandma and pearls!
Playing with the denim theme I paired the duo with this button down skirt (last styled here). The great thing about this skirt is that it's available in tall, petite and standard sizes so no need to worry about the length or fit, and it literally is the softest denim at a bargain price point. Of course a pair of skinny jeans and sneakers would work just as well. You really can never go wrong with denim!

Two of my favourite staples this autumn have to be the retro pinny dress and ankle boots, perfect pieces to transition into the colder months. With camel tones being a must have colour for fall I chose this suedette camel pinnafore dress and kept a retro feel by styling it with this cute pussy bow blouse. Pinny dresses are super easy to style and by adding a white blouse keeps my look girly and chic, perfect for work. For weekend styling try replacing the blouse with a denim shirt or roll neck sweater. The addition of these leather ankle boots with gold trim details provides an effortless feel to my ensemble. Plus they have the perfect heel for everyday use and are extremely comfortable. I can't wait to wear them with my favourite skinny jeans. Completing my look with this suede tassel biker jacket continues the 70's vibe throughout!
