It's finally time to say goodbye to summer.....it's been a pleasure however I am very much ready for the colder months to come. Autumn/Winter is always my favourite season for styling as there are endless options to layering colours and textures. But before we say bye, here's one last outfit post during my trip to NY.

Styling an off the shoulder basic crop top with a pastel midi skirt and kitten heels is the perfect outfit for shopping in the NY city heat. The off the shoulder trend will be continuing for Spring 2015 so if you haven't jumped on this bandwagon, be sure to pick one up in the sales now!

Another day, another midi....this was one of those moments that as soon as I saw this skirt, I literally fell in love. It has the right amount of volume and stiffness, yet still fluid. On line it is sold out but there are still some available in the Oxford street store in various sizes, so be quick! Styling with this JD neon tee keeps my look effortlessly chic and casual for the day.

I seem to have a major addiction for co-rds at the moment and this Warehouse organza duo was the perfect ensemble for an evening meal out in NY.  The shirt is a boxy style which would work well with a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans, however when styling together I felt the shirt worked best tied at the waist. Extremely popular, this set has already sold out on the Warehouse website, however you can still buy it on Asos at half price in the sale....bonus!!!

Being a lover for midi skirts of course this 'Palace Skirt' caused an instant gravitational force as soon as I spotted it at the AW press day. I was lucky enough to have one sent over to me by the wonderful PR team at Hobbs just in time for my vacation to New York and was thrilled that it fit perfectly!

Part of Hobbs' 2nd exclusive capsule collaboration with the Historical Royal Palaces, this soft silk and wool blend skirt, plus structured design provides a romantic feel. Taking inspiration from the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection and architectural elements from the palaces, Hobbs designed a 20 piece luxurious collection each with their own special story. And not only does this skirt work perfect for now but come AW it will work well styled with a light sweater, plus there is a choice of two other colours to choose from, pearl pink or alabaster.

Keeping my look chic for a few meetings during the day, I styled it with a lace bralet from Topshop, an animal print clutch and these extremely comfy two tone strappy heels from Miss Guided.
Definitely the kind of look that could take you from day to evening drinks!
