If you follow me on Instagram and Twitter then you would have read all about the campaign that I recently took part in with Amazon Fashion Europe and renown photographer, Rankin. The concept of the advert was to empower other women to wear what they like regardless of their 'so called flaws'. Being 6ft, I have battled with the dilemmas of clothes not fitting well, trousers not being long enough or waists of dresses being in the wrong place but I have learnt to dress for my body shape and wear what I like, to me style is all about confidence.

In my teens I felt like I didn't fit in and always stood out, however by the time I hit 15 I learnt to accept my body and embrace my height. One of the reasons why I started my blog was to inspire other women through fashion, to stand tall and be confident. Fashion for me is all about how you style clothes to make them work for you and only you! It's about working with what you have and really not worrying about how others perceive you, and just wearing whatever the hell you want.. including the highest heels you can find! So with this in mind I was honoured to take part in the campaign and fly the flag for us tall ladies of the world!

Outfit 1 - Coat: Asos, Jumpsuit: Very (old), Shoes: Carvela
Outfit 2 - Jacket, Closet Jumpsuit, New Look Shoes: Amazon Fashion

Since this campaign went live I have received the most amazing feedback and comments from other tall women. Knowing that others have been inspired to step out of their comfort zone and try new things is what makes being a blogger so rewarding. Thanks so much for all your comments and emails.

Don't look like me, look like you!

  1. Such true words Marsha! You show an amazing sense of style.

I'm 6'3 and have some issues with finding pieces that work, but I've been coming to discover and develop my own style. I'm much more interested in finding pieces that work with each other and, more importantly, me. I've come to learn that I really need a tailor to help find the fit.

I'm 27. When I was a teen there weren't many resources. It is much better now and maybe a bit easier for those trying to learn.

There are so many women of all shapes and sizes who never find a style of their own and some that do. Thank you for being one of those that helps others by your example.

    1. Thanks Jheri! I agree pieces that work for you rather than others is the way to dress. Yes there are definitely so much more styles available today on the high street. The fact that style is so versatile nowadays, it really does allow us to experiment more! x

  3. As a teen, there weren't many choices for me, but now, it's much, much better, although I still have to do a lot of my shopping on-line, which can involve shipping things back if they don't fit quite right. I enjoy your style!

    1. Thanks so much Jennifer! Yes I also have become quite accustom to shopping online and experiencing trial and error many times. But nothing compares to that moment when you find something that fits in all the right places! x
